About us

Dr Simon Ashcroft BDS (Hons) DRDP
Principal
My family home has been in Marlow since 1974 and after graduating with Honours from Kings College Hospital Dental School in 1979 I spent a year working in various departments of the hospital. Subsequently, I worked for four years in Australia before returning to live in Marlow and becoming principal of my own practice in Princes Risborough between 1986 and 2005.
During this time I developed an interest in the care of adult patients requiring the treatment of gum problems and missing teeth. This culminated in being awarded the Diploma in Restorative Dental Practice with Distinction in December 2006 from the Eastman Dental Institute University College London with my specialist subject being Surgical and Prosthetic Implantology.
In 2008 I will undertake the Masters Programme in Restorative Dental Practice at the Eastman Dental Institute, which is recognised as one of the premier postgraduate establishments in the world. The General Dental Council now stipulate that implant treatment should only be carried out by a dentist with a recognised postgraduate qualification.
In 2006/7 I travelled and worked overseas in a number of dental practices and returned convinced that focusing on the environment in which you work allows you to provide the best possible care for your patients and staff.
